No pude tener un comienzo de año más bonito.
El uno de enero me desperté expectante a la sorpresa que Adry me había preparado, y tomándonos un café en la estación de tren mientras yo me preguntaba cuál sería la sorpresa... y nos subimos a un tren rumbo a Granada. Empecé a gritar y a saltar en mitad del vagón y acabamos comienzo una comida casera que él había hecho. No me lo podría creer.
I could not have a nicer beginning of year.
On January 1st I woke up expectantly at the surprise Adry prepared me and having a coffee at the train station I wondered what would the surprise be ... and we got on a train heading to Granada. I started screaming and jumping in the middle of the wagon and we ended up eating some home made food he made. I couldn't believe it.
Llegamos a la estación y allí nos recogieron Mara y David (A los que doy las gracias por ser tan buenos guías) y aprovechamos para subir al mirador del Albaicín lo más rápido que pudimos para pillar el atardecer, porque ya iba a empezar a oscurecer.
We arrived at the station and there Mara and David picked us up (Thank you for being such good guides) and took the opportunity to go to the viewpoint of the Albaicin as fast as we could to catch the sunset, because it would already start to get dark.
Las vistas fueron geniales y simplemente en pensar que estaba allí en Granada ya era dificil de asimilar, pero ese atardecer tan bonito invernal junto con la sierra y esa bienvenida de año nuevo simplemente me cautivó y me dieron ganas de poder hacer esos pequeños viajes a todos lados junto con Adry y mi cámara.
The views were great and just by simply thinking I was there in Granada was already hard to realize , but that wintery evening along with the saw and that welcome of the new year just captivated me and I wanted to be able to do those little trips to everywhere with Adry and my camera.
Se ve que no fuimos los únicos en querer presenciar este hermoso atardecer desde uno de los rincones más bonitos de Granada, porque al llegar al mirador estaba repleto de gente. Tuve que subirme encima de Adry para poder sacar algunas fotos y supongo que algún que otro turista me miraría mal pero bueno, es lo que hay, había gente de casi dos metros que no me dejaba ver ni la Alhambra.
It seemed we weren't the only ones wanting to witness this beautiful sunset from one of the prettiest places in Granada, because when we arrived there it was crowded. I had to climb over Adry to take some pictures and I guess some tourists would look at me wrong but hey, that's what you take when there were people of almost two meters who wouldn't even let me see the Alhambra.
El sol se iba yendo mientras Granada cada vez estaba más fría así que los cuatro aprovechamos para ver una peli y comernos una pizza.
The sun was going down while Granada was getting colder so we took advantage of it to see a film and eat pizza.
Ya nos habíamos despertado y nosotros, acostumbrados a temperaturas bastante más altas caminamos por las calles del centro de la ciudad y pudimos contemplar aquella mezcla granadina que la hace tan especial: La antigüedad y la novedad se encuentran mezcladas en todas las calles.
We had already awakened and us,used to significantly higher temperatures, walked the streets of the city and we could see that Granada mixture that makes it so special: The old and the new are mixed in every street.
Y ese fue mi primer y segundo día del año: No podría haber pedido más que esa preciosa sorpresa en forma de viaje (Que es lo que más me gusta) me hizo pensar con optimismo en las miles de cosas buenas que van a pasar en 2015, y que las malas se pueden apaciguar con recuerdos como estos.
And that was my first and second day of the year: I could not have asked for more that this lovely surprise in the shape of travel (Which is what I like) it made me think with optimism about the thousands of good things that will happen in 2015 and that the bad ones can appease with memories like these.
